Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival

Welcome to Phnom Penh, you will be collected by our local guide at Phnom Penh Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. Balance of the day as your leisure. Meals on your own.

Day 2: Phnom Penh – Sightseeing – Transfer to Kampot (B, L, D)

Discover Phnom Penh City, capital of Cambodia located at the conjunction of four branches of Mekong River “Chaktomuk”, historical capital more than 600 years after Angkor.

Start with the Royal Palace built in 1866 and Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound, where most treasures on display have been supplied by the King of Cambodia as gifts from various other countries. Among the treasures are a solid gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds and weighing 90 kilos and a small 17th-century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha.

Then visit the National Museum built in 1917–18, exclusively dedicated to Khmer arts. There are many artifacts from the Pre-Angkor as well as Angkor Period on display. They are made of sandstone, bronze, silver, copper, wood, ceramic, and other materials.

In the afternoon, transfer to visit the Killing Fields, where many Cambodians were killed and buried by the Khmer Rouge regime between 1975 and 1979.

After the visit, head to Kampot (within 3-hour transfer). Dinner at local restaurant and overnight in Kampot.

Day 3: Kampot – Salt Farm – Community Orientation – Cultural Immersion (B, L, D)

In the morning, after enjoying a delicious breakfast at a local restaurant nearby, the group will embark on a visit to a salt farm, accompanied by our knowledgeable local guide. Here, you will observe and learn about the intricate process of salt production, as carried out by hardworking local farmers.

Following this enlightening experience, we will proceed directly to the Trapeang Sengke Community, where we will be warmly welcomed by the community team. They will provide a comprehensive introduction to their community and the ongoing projects. This informative session will last approximately 40 minutes.

Once acquainted with the community, the group will check in at their designated homestays and enjoy a delicious lunch prepared by the community.

In the afternoon, after a satisfying meal, the group will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in local culture through engaging in various activities such as cake making, learning about the unique daily customs and traditions of the locals.

As the day draws to a close, we will spend a restful night in the heart of the community, allowing us to fully appreciate the authentic experience we have embarked upon.

Day 4: Kampot – Services Learning About Conservation (B, L, D)

In the morning, after enjoying a delicious breakfast at a local restaurant nearby, the group will embark on a boat journey to the mangrove conservation forest.

Here, we will actively participate in a unique opportunity to both assist and learn the art of collecting high-quality mangrove seeds. These seeds will be brought back to the community to help establish new mangrove trees.

After a fulfilling lunch within the community, our group will collaborate with local experts to help prepare mud and plant the mangrove seeds. This takes place in the nursery house, where we will pack seedlings into plastic bags to promote successful growth and replanting.

By dedicating time to this cause, we not only contribute to the preservation of the mangrove ecosystem but also gain deeper understanding of environmental conservation and the steps needed to ensure sustainability.

Join us on this meaningful journey as we make a tangible difference in the Trapeang Sengke Community and help protect our natural environment.

After the planting, we will enjoy a delightful lunch at the community. The afternoon offers more time to immerse in local culture and traditions.

Day 6: Kampot – Kayaking – City Architecture Walking Tour – Phnom Penh (B, L, D)

In the morning, after enjoying a delicious breakfast (at local restaurant nearby), the group will be greeted by the watersport instructor, who will provide a comprehensive briefing on the exciting water sport activities. Following this, the group will embark on a captivating kayaking adventure, navigating through the picturesque canals of Kompot riverside. This serene journey offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and stunning landscapes.
