Week Without Wall Mondulkiri Trip EduTravel 3

Three days working with a conservation project that keeps rescued elephants in protected forest rather than in captivity. The program is built around animal welfare: there is no riding, no bathing, and no forced interaction. Students observe the elephants from a safe distance and on the animals’ own terms.

Days are spent on practical conservation work alongside the local Bunong team, including cultivating banana plants and trees to feed the herd, reforestation, water source management, and habitat restoration. Between work sessions, students trek the jungle trails to find the elephants and watch them forage and move through the forest as they would in the wild.

Sessions run roughly from 8:00 to 11:30 and 1:30 to 4:30, with lunch cooked at the forest camp. Trekking is around 4km a day on mixed jungle paths with gentle inclines, suitable for all fitness levels. The group returns to the hotel each evening.
