Day 1: Phnom Penh arrival

Welcome to Phnom Penh, you will be collected by our local guide at Phnom Penh Airport and transfer to hotel for check in. The room is at your disposal from 14.00 onwards. Balance of the day as your leisure. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Phnom Penh – Sightseeing – Transfer to Mondulkiri (B, L, D)

Discover the Phnom Penh City, capital of Cambodia located at the conjunction of four branches of Mekong River “Chaktomuk”, historical capital more than 600 years after Angkor. Start with the Royal Palace built in 1866 and Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound, the majority of treasures on display have been supplied by the King of Cambodia such as gift from various other countries. Among the treasures are a solid gold Buddha encrusted with 9,584 diamonds and weighing 90 kilos and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha.
After heading to Mondulkiri (within 6.5 – 7 hour transfer). Dinner at local restaurant and Overnight in Mondulkiri.

Day 3: Mondulkiri – Elephant Conservation Adventure (B, L, D)

The group will begin with a meeting to give a presentation and fill out forms. Then, we will proceed directly to the project site via bus and after that do a short trek to the valley, where you will be given a comprehensive explanation about elephants, the project, and our goals and also start to do the projects activities at our campsite near a small river where elephants always come and swim there.
In the afternoon, after lunch the group will embark on a trek from the camp into the jungle, where you will have the incredible opportunity to see in distance two elephants named Happy Lucky and G Ben. During this encounter, you will be introduced to the elephants and have the chance to see them at a safety distance. Following this delightful experience, you will have the privilege of walking through the forest alongside the elephants, observing them as they lead their lives in their natural habitat. The tasks today may include reforestation, water source management, and ecosystem restoration. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide hands-on care and enrichment for the elephants in sanctuaries.
Return to hotel for leisure. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

This is just one of the many activities included in our conservation project within our protection site. Other tasks may include reforestation, water source management, and ecosystem restoration. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide hands-on care and enrichment for the elephants in sanctuaries.
Return to hotel for leisure. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5: Mondulkiri – Conservation work at campsite (B, L, D)

After breakfast, the group will begin a full day of volunteering, working alongside our local Bunong staff here some list of conservation activities such as cultivating banana plants and trees for the elephants. This is just one of the many activities included in our conservation project within our protection site. Other tasks may include reforestation, water source management, and ecosystem restoration. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to provide hands-on care and enrichment for the elephants in sanctuaries.
Afterwards, we will have the privilege of following the elephants as they gracefully walk through the forest, indulging in a variety of delicious foods such as grass, leaves, bamboo, and other forest delicacies.
In the afternoon we will take a well-deserved lunch break at the river camp, where we can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings. We will have our final moments with these magnificent creatures, capturing a group photo as a lasting memory. It will be a bittersweet farewell as we say goodbye to our four beautiful elephants. We will then embark on a leisurely walk uphill back to the bus, which will take us back to hotel in center.

Day 6: Mondulkiri – Back to Phnom Penh – Sightseeing (B, L, D)

After breakfast at hotel, leave the hotel around 7.30 AM and head back to Phnom Penh (within 6.5 – 7 hour transfer).
Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, visit Toul Sleng, an ancient school which was used as a prison under the Khemers Rouges time and walk around the Russian market built into 1937 of a splendid architecture of colonial style.

Day 7: Phnom Penh Departure (B)
Today, enjoy free time until transfer to the airport for your departure flight. Room is at your disposal until noon.
